August was moderately busy around here. Between swim lessons, getting ready for the new school year, and my daughter starting fourth grade, the month flew by. We have only had one week of school so far, so we are still settling into our new routine.
Even so, I read eight books this month. I had a really solid reading month overall, with one clear five-nerd favorite and several four-nerd reads that I genuinely enjoyed.
Here is what I read:
- Storm Caller by Nisha J. Tuli • 🤓🤓🤓🤓
- Life Hacks for a Little Alien by Alice Franklin • 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
- Stalkers Anonymous by Dana LeeAnn • 🤓🤓🤓
- The Best We Could Hope For by Nicola Kraus • 🤓🤓🤓🤓
- I’m a Weapon by Sean Robins • 🤓🤓🤓🤓
A self-published read. - Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland • 🤓🤓🤓🤓
- Devils Like Us by L.T. Thompson• 🤓🤓🤓🤓
- Vow of Eternal Night by Lily Crozier• 🤓🤓🤓🤓
This was a 3.5-nerd read that I rounded up to four.
My standout read was definitely Life Hacks for a Little Alien. It was such a meaningful, memorable book, and I am still thinking about it.
How was your August reading month? Did you find a new favorite?
What an awesome month! I have Vow, too, and was curious about it. Lots of people have raved about it, which always makes me hesitant to crack it open (because what if I hate it? 😆)
It was a fantastic month of reading! Vow was decent. I did like it, but I didn’t like it enough to rave about it, although Lily Crozier does a pretty excellent job of writing. I guess I’m just still not huge on vampires in my romances? 🤷🏻♀️It’s definitely worth picking up, though, imo!
