The Nerd’s Sunday Tarot — I’ll Come to You

I’m starting I’ll Come to You by Rebecca Kauffman later today as an audiobook, so this week’s tarot card is more of a little “reading vibes” forecast than a reflection.

I pulled the Queen of Swords reversed.

When she’s upright, the Queen of Swords is all about clarity and straight-up honesty. Reversed, though, things get a little tangled. Think miscommunication, emotional walls, or truths that are harder to say out loud. Very “I’ve been hurt before so now I keep my guard up” energy.

So now I’m wondering if this book is going to be full of characters who don’t quite say what they mean, or relationships shaped by misunderstandings and things left unsaid. Maybe perspective is going to be a big deal, or maybe the heart of the story will be people trying, and not always succeeding, to really understand each other.

Since I haven’t started yet, we’ll see how close this ends up being, but I love going into a new book with a little tarot lens like this. It just makes the start feel extra fun and a tiny bit magical.

Let’s Discuss:

Have you ever started a book that perfectly matched your mood or emotional headspace?
