Some awards absolutely work on me. Apparently, I am not immune to a well-placed sticker.
- The Road — Yes. That Pulitzer seal is doing its job.
- The Night Watchman — Yes again. National Book Award? I’m listening.
- Station Eleven — Already read, and no regrets.
- The Handmaid’s Tale — Also already read, long before the adaptation era.
- Wolf Hall — Yes. Multiple Bookers feels intimidating, but also irresistible.
So yes, a few of these are officially headed for my TBR. Which is less a list at this point and more a geographical feature, possibly a mountain range with no clear summit in sight.
