I am getting ready to start my next ARC, The Naysayers, written by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke. This will be my first time reading anything by them, but I have heard so much about their long-standing creative partnership. There is something fun about author duos who co-write well. I always imagine the planning sessions and the debates about who gets to emotionally ruin the characters first. The idea of two people shaping a story together has a charm of its own.
They have a well-known fan base and a strong reputation in the book world, so I am curious to see what their pacing and character work feels like. I love stepping into the work of authors I have never read before, especially when the collaboration itself adds an extra layer of interest.
I will be diving into The Naysayers soon and will report back once I finish. Consider this a small preview of what is coming next on my reading list.
Let’s Discuss: Do you enjoy trying new-to-you authors, or do you prefer sticking with writers you already trust?
